Launch Arabian Struggle and Insurgency: Algeria crowdfunding on 3 SEP 2024.

Crisis in Korea has shipped (awhile ago actually), a month earlier than projected. Available now on our website if you missed the Kickstarter. Rocky Mountain Navy has a great review of the game(s):

We just launched Arabian Struggle and Insurgent: Algeria! We were going to use Gamefound for the first time but our point of contact there ghosted us, so it’s back to Kickstarter. This is a weird industry…
During a playtest at Gen Con it was strongly recommended to us to pick a different style cover, in order to make it more appealing for non-wargamers, as the game play is appealing to a wide variety of gamers. So we changed the cover to something different. This and the change of crowdfunding are the key reasons this is somewhat frantic, and a week later than we hoped to launch.
Did get a great writeup from Dan Thurot about Arabian Struggle this week though:

Here’s a fun announcement: We are the only North American distributor of a really cool game called Patria Libre, from Malinche Games, about the Mexican Independence War. They made a lavish game, with lots of extra Kickstarter bits, and we are able to offer this for a great price.

So much going on with logistics!
We have a new warehouse location, as we now have a number of games that are not print on demand. Fear not, we are still keeping Steve busy at Blue Panther, but we are now having his crew batch print games and ship them to our warehouse.
Arabian Struggle and Insurgent: Algeria will be printed in Poland. What this means for Arabian Struggle is that it will come with a matted board instead of paper. This will add delay of course in the printing and shipping, but should allow us to really get some economy of scale going. Without printing in China.
Our final logistics hurdle is getting Llamagedon on Amazon. This is our big experiment with the store, and if it works most of our games will also be sold there. Slightly more expensive than on our website though… There is a lot of work to this, and even working with a partner it has gone slower than we expected. Along with everything else going on.

Back in March a new requirement mandated that mass emails had to be verified. Involved was a back and forth between the website providers and the email service. Despite a lot of effort on my part, I couldn’t get the newsletter flowing again. Thus the long delay…
Now I’ve switched to a new website service and instead of emailing the actual newsletter I’m notifying everyone about the latest blog. Should allow more interactivity and more importantly, let you folks know what’s going on!
